- On July 25, there will be a special post-Cuppa-closure event where Beth will be selling many items (furniture, merch, and equipment) at a discounted price.
If you’re reading this, it means that I’m gone. More specifically, it means that I left without finding anyone to replace this placeholder intro with anything of their own making. Livvy and I are now somewhere between Rome and the Amalfi Coast, with Best Man Steve and Very Good Friends Camden and Ananda, and their daughter Naira, collecting material for Summery, wondering how things are going back home, and likely overheating.

This might be short. I’ve got some amount of Nostalgia already loaded (I am quick to be nostalgic) but we might miss a few days. And photos—those will definitely have to come in in the next issue.
Bureaucratic Minutiae
- At Worknight: Alex ran at least 2 miles and finished G+C notes; Ivan did PowerPoint Party outreach and prepped Paperwork; Jessica P. started writing one letter of recommendation; Livvy settled Worknight and punch clock questions and worked on PowerPoint party help documentation; Lizzie culled and edited an engagement session; Joe did two lessons in C++; Mary Ann readied Redwell recycling and compiled [redacted] and sent to lawyer; Marissa watch two Unreal Engine videos; Norton worked on revising setting screens; Will finished the nudge tool; and Madeleine voted, read additional mail, and got Singapore visa. writeup by Livvy
- A reminder that The Company is a member-supported gathering place. If you’d like to pop in for a workday and you know one of us, reach out to schedule a time and we can let you in for free. If we don’t know you yet, reach out so we can get to know you, or come by an event and say hi.
Nostalgia
Do you remember our lunch conversation about podcasts about masculinism? The Krāv walk? The Ricochet Robots? The photo-culling? How you scream-laughed at videos of animals while I worked on Paperwork?
Or the revelation that we’d been tricked into a hidden fork social deduction game? How we called Patrick to learn more, and he revealed that there were four assistants? “One for each prong on a typical fork.”
And how you said “It’s called a tine”?
Do you remember the recess walk where we split off early based on our stress levels? How mine was high, that entire day, because it was my birthday, and I chose to celebrate it by being stressed? Do you remember the show? How you were all so kind and helpful to me? How that one piece was a callback to so many presentations and conversations?
The last Worknight of Jessica P., before she became a mom? How that was the night before our trip, and we thought that might be the last time you’d both be pregnant together? The matching photo we took? How that was the Worknight with Will’s homemade cinnamon rolls? That the evening ended with a cinematic departure?
Do you remember anything else about that week? Did you write it down? Did we ever figure out how you would get it into Paperwork?
Photos
No photos this issue because I ran out of time to explain to anyone else how to do it. Double the photos next week. Promise. —
