Welcome to this first edition of The Alcove!

Going forward, this newsletter belongs to me, but to you also. I will be welcoming your comments (see the “leave a comment” link at the bottom of each newsletter. When it says that it will be published on the web, it means it will be published through my Buttondown archive location. This way, you’ll all be able to participate in the conversations we have.

There is opportunity for you to contribute your own writing to the newsletter. I am welcoming “letters to the editor”, as well as your own poetry, short fiction or non-fiction pieces, commentary and ideas, art, governance, culture, and discussion topics.

Catholics and other Christians will find a home here, but the Catholic identity of this newsletter will be in full gear. :)
