Boom Clap, Webinar, and the old "Get off my lawn" Accusation
Hi Everyone,
Every month is so full that it's hard to pick which updates will be most helpful to you all. But here are the a few I hope you find encouraging and informative.
- I had a wonderful interview with Rita Rogers on her popular Boom Clap podcast. She also left a job because of strong convictions, so we had a lot in common. If you only have time for one part of the two part episode, listen to the second one to hear us talk about convictions.
- I taught a webinar called "The Essential Human Editor in an Artificial Age" for the Editorial Freelancer's association. If you write or edit anything or are just interested in seeing a webinar, you can watch it for a fee here. It's a 60 minute talk with 30 minutes of Q&A.
- The Colson Center for Christian Worldview recently did a symposium on "Staying Human in the Age of AI." Dr. Gretchen Huizinga gave an incredibly important talk, and powerfully taught many of the same things I recommend. Well, the Colson Center (whom I admire) got push-back from a listener who dismissed it as a "get off my lawn" anti-AI message without substance. They were wrong. I said so in my latest article.
- Then, Janet Parshall asked to interview me about that last article on live radio tomorrow (or maybe today for you now), Thursday the 27th, at 6:00pm Eastern, 3:00pm Pacific. You can listen to it on your local Moody Radio station or online here, or anytime afterwards online too.
Plus, I'm this close to finishing the manuscript for my new book, [Un]Intelligence: The Lies Behind Today's AI and the Truths You Need To Thrive. I can't wait to share it with you, and hear how it helps you navigate our AI-infested age. It should be published by November, just in time for the Biblical Worldview Conference in Lancaster, PA.
