Maintaining Cayce's Charred Oak Keg
Hi Friends,
A few months ago I got an order for one of my charred oak kegs. It was a second order, so I sent an email... Did you let your previous keg dry out?
Indeed, they'd gotten distracted while taking care of a family member while they were in the hospital, and all their keg's alcohol evaporated away.
I haven't done any scientific investigation to see how long it takes for 750mL of alcohol to evaporate out of a keg... I just top off my keg every time I notice it's basically run out.
This is my latest video about taking care of Cayce's respiratory therapy keg:
I currently have four kegs in stock: two with spigots and two without. The video also covers why some people prefer the no-spigot keg.

P.S. I had an idea in 2010 that the US Navy's portable nuclear reactors on its aircraft carriers would be useful for disaster response: When Disaster Strikes, Send the Enterprise. Technological advancements have made the aircraft carriers somewhat obsolete, so I think it's time to push on this idea. If you have any comments on my other little website, I'd appreciate hearing them. Recent blog post: The Dismantling of USS Enterprise (CVN-65)
