Two Terrific Books
Hello Hungry Readers,
We are at the point of the summer here in my neck of the woods where, as much as I like heat, it is really quite a lot. But it also is when plans for fall ramp up, and it feels like summer has also been a little short. I still haven’t tried out that rooftop beer garden. Though I did go to a non-rooftop one.
I’ve mentioned before that for me, longer daylight hours mean I can read somewhat scarier books. Bookshop links ahead.
K. Ancrum’s The Corruption of Hollis Brown is a story that asks the question, what if you got possessed but, also decided it was maybe fine?
On the not scary (except for feelings, the ultimate horror) front, Meka James’ Love and Sportsball is about a woman’s basketball player who hooks up with a woman at a club and then…discovers she’s the new team sports trainer! (Actually I take it back, a hook up at your workplace is truly scary.)
Anyway, whatever level of scary you are into at the moment, I hope you are keeping well, and finding some rest.
Happy reading!
