Two Terrific Books
Hey Hungry Readers,
I confess a combination of drafting and dayjob stuff has made my reading slow. I’m still reading but not at the normal pace and I can feel my TBR judging me.
But I have finished some things. And of course, reading is for pleasure, and it’s not a contest.

I feel like if you think a book called We’ll Prescribe You a Cat (by Syou Ishida) might appeal to you, then you are right. But it is an anthology series, about several patients who find their way to an odd clinic and get prescribed a cat. Content note: toxic boss, and several descriptions of some cats not being classically beautiful.
Georgia K Boone’s I’ll Be Gone For Christmas is a house swap romance, a double romance even. I found it really enjoyable. Content note: toxic parents, ailing parent, reference to past homophobia, reference to past parental death.
