Quiet Cars and Other Things
Hello Hungry Readers,
Bookshop links ahead.
I mentioned on the blog that I was up in New York this weekend. I managed to get a seat in the quiet car on the train both ways, which is a wonder. This is where I also mention that I wrote a book where my characters get kicked out of the quiet car for being to noisy. Universal: https://books2read.com/u/47O6GL

Anyway, I went to see “Hadestown”, which I remain obsessed with. I had put myself on a moratorium from listening to either cast album and now I am freeeeeeeeeee! But also I started listening to the “Operation Mincemeat” cast album as a replacement, and now my brain is just competing cast albums. Sometimes I switch it up and listen to “Maybe Happy Ending” or “Some Like it Hot” for a little variety.
I did also see “Ceilidh” recently, which I also talked about on the blog. The songs for that were very sweet but there is not yet a cast album, so my brain is mostly safe.
In book news, I read Legendary Frybread Drive-In: Intertribal Stories an anthology edited by Cynthia Letich Smith, and it was a delight.
A great distraction from the various National Guard and US Army folks I keep seeing everywhere I go.
Happy reading or listening!
