I'm on Sale (in Some Countries)

Hello, Hungry Readers,

So the nitty gritty of the sale, is that I Belong to You, my latest release, a fairytale mashup set in Rock Creek Park featuring a mo’o nixie woman and the son of a rock star who bond over music but discover there’s a magical bargain left undone that involves them, is part of a Kobo Halloween sale in the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. Why just those? That is a question for the powers that be at Kobo.

If Kobo is not your preferred book store, or it is but you live somewhere that is not those three countries, you can still purchase it. Just click here for many options. Or here for Bookshop.

On to other things. The heat is on in my apartment building, but not my dayjob office, so this week has been an exercise in layers.

In non-spooky reads, we’ve got bookshop links ahead.

I talked about this on Bluesky, but I listened to the audio of Kate McKinnon’s The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science and it is narrated by Kate and her sister and is just the kind of quirky but entrancing historical mystery about orphans who know the adults are up to something kind of story you might expect from McKinnon.

And You Gotta Eat by Margaret Eby is a cookbook for when you just don’t wanna cook. It’s got ideas for meals that are just assembly, one that are just a little bit more than that, and recipes for when making any decisions is too much. I really enjoy cooking, but definitely have days where one more decision is too much.

Hope things are temperate and the level of spooky you prefer wherever you are.
