Super-Centaur V. Wonder Nazi: Dawn of WTF Did I Just Read (or: Superman/Wonder Woman: Whom Gods Destroy)
Okay, I wasn't planning to read this comic yet (it's from 1996 and we're still in 1993), but Cracked asked me to write an article about the worst Superman stories ever made, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Well, the good news is that this definitely qualifies for that article, and the bad news is that I might have brain damage now. Since I don't want to risk falling into a permanent coma by reading this atrocity again once this blog gets to '96, and since my write-up was too long for Cracked, I regretfully have no choice but to share the full story with you patrons. I hope one day you'll forgive me.
I have to warn you that every other sentence in this article will make you feel like you're having an aneurysm, so strap in. Superman/Wonder Woman: Whom Gods Destroy (1996) is set in an alternate reality in which Lois Lane is an old woman while Superman is still young and lives on the moon, where he spends most of his time working on his tan and failing to work on his novel. Turns out he's been stuck on the same page for, oh, 34 years.
