This story actually starts in the past, when Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash (Barry), Green Lantern (Hal), and Martian Manhunter have only recently started hanging out together as a League of American Justice-doers. Felix Faust has issued a public challenge to the League and they all figure, eh, sure, let's go beat up an evil wizard. But that punk-ass Faust doesn't show up: instead, he sends some demons to keep Superman and pals entertained and then uses a demonic spell to conjure up some sort of satanic bomb right on top of them, killing them all. The end!
