Our look at the 1994 Elseworlds annuals continues with the tale of the SUPER SEVEN. That sounds like the name of a supermarket chain, but no, it's a team like the Seven Samurai, but with less katanas and more cape-- I mean, leather jackets (forgot these are '90s superheroes for a moment).

This story is told across two annuals, both written by Karl Kesel and with art by Brock L. Hor and Greg Luzniak (no, I'd never heard of them either... they must be from some Elseworlds reality). We start with Adventures Annual #6, which tells us exactly who the seven are and gives us the backstory: In a timeline that looks a lot like the present-day DCU, Earth was invaded by a massive horde of space bandits. For Earth's heroes, that's just called a Tuesday, so for a while it looked like this was gonna end as quickly as every other alien invasion they've gone through.
