Superman in "Armageddon: Inferno"
I was reading the Armageddon: Inferno miniseries that came out during our current point in the timeline (April-July 1992), and while there isn't enough Superman-related stuff to make a full post about it, I thought it was pretty neat that they referenced the "Time and Time Again!" storyline – specifically, the part about how a dude blew up the moon on Superman's face in the 30th century:
Also, check out that sweet Art Adams art! (He's one of several artists in this series, though.)
Inferno also reveals what our pal Waverider did after stealing that time-traveling bracelet from the Linear Men (Superman #61): he just wandered aimlessly for a while until he bumped into an other-dimensional demon called Abraxis, who wants to enslave our entire universe. The ‘Rider recruits several heroes (and Lobo, because 1992) to stop Abraxis, and even pulls the Justice Society of America out of limbo to help out. In the end the JSA is allowed to return to continuity, and all the superheroes (and Lobo) have a big ice cream social.
I like how Batman's like "ugh, how long is it socially acceptable to hang around before making an excuse and going home? I just wanted ice cream."
