I've always been a fan of post crisis Superman. Do you have any recommendations on where to start? I want to get into the Never Ending Battle format where issues lead into eachother. Where does that start?
That starts with Superman: The Man of Steel #1 (1991), which is not to be confused with The Man of Steel #1 (1986). I don't think there's an incorrect place to start reading (99% of us started with some random issue and just kept going), but why not begin at the beginning? Everything between 1986 and 1988 (John Byrne's entire run) has now been collected in a series of trade-paperbacks… also called Superman: The Man of Steel. They should come up with new nicknames for the guy.
Anyway, I wrote a guide to those books and other Superman collections here. I'll post the second part (picking up at 1991) at some point.
