One of these recent issues had an expansive promo Sonic the Hedgehog, did it not? I found this out by listening to Console Wars.
Yeah! It's in Action Comics #672, and apparently it's Sonic's first comic appearance ever. It's mostly a long ad disguised as a story, though. The only noteworthy part is when they reveal Sonic's origin: he was a regular hedgehog who ran so fast he turned blue, and gained all the powers of Gerardo Mejia.
