Metropolis Mailbag: Post-Infinite Crisis era?

I'm in the "dark days" of the post '86-'99 era, the post-Infinite Crisis era. While I loved the first story co-written by Busiek and Johns, their solo work leaves something to be desired. Most importantly, Busiek tried to include some plot points from Johns, but reading the Johns issues, there's no room in the story for the events Busiek portrays. This made me realize my favorite thing about the '86 era--the continuity. Summed up in one sentence, what's your favorite thing about this era?

“Bibbo is in it.”

(Seriously, I’ve said it before, but the more Bibbo shows up, the better these comics are. Even the non-Bibbo scenes.)
