Yep! I'm a big fan of Beau Smith's Guy Gardner: Warrior (one day I'll do a Green Lantern ‘94 to ‘04 blog* and cover all of it), and my theory is that you can see the seeds of that stuff in Guy's interactions with Superman during this period. He came a long way from the guy who entered the latest annual by zipping himself out of a yellow missile.
