Starting stories!
The big news this month is that when you start a story that’s not at the top of the backlog, it now moves up above all other un-started stories.

Notice the animation! This also plays when someone else looking at the same room moves a story around.
This should help stories reflect their real prioritization. If you’re starting something, you’re implicitly declaring that it’s more important than every other unstated story.
This should also make it easier to scan work in progress in busy rooms, by keeping stories in progress mostly at the top of the page.
Other updates this month
Added a touch of ✨shimmer✨ to prediction updates to make them a little more noticeable.
Added some affordances to empty rooms so you can tell what to do in them
Update marker predictions immediately rather than waiting until the page reloads
Automatically create accounts for read-only users who don’t already have accounts
Eliminated crashes caused by linked list corruption by moving entirely off of linked lists and onto positional indices for story order
Stop returning 500 errors when we get a transport error from Stytch
Coming up
Make it easier to see upcoming work on teams with high throughput, by adding a control that hides recent accepted stories
Make it easier to plan date-scoped releases by adding a new type of marker that “floats” in the stack of stories on the assigned date
