This weekend in Stamford: the Juneteenth Parade, KPOP Demon Hunters at the Palace, a Town Center block party
Happy Thursday, Stamford. It is a Juneteenth and Father's Day weekend, the kind where the city's two speeds, downtown energy and shoreline calm, are both on offer. The Juneteenth Parade rolls Saturday, the Palace turns into a singalong for the kids, and the Town Center throws a two-day block party.
Best for families this weekend: Honmoon Princesses, the KPOP Demon Hunters event at the Palace Theatre on Saturday, and the Stamford Town Center Summer Block Party running Saturday and Sunday.
All Weekend Long
Stamford Town Center Summer Block Party takes over the Restaurant Plaza at 100 Greyrock Place (downtown) Saturday and Sunday. Music, food, and an excuse to be downtown that does not involve parking for a single errand. Free to attend, all ages.

Friday, June 19 (Juneteenth)
NAACP Juneteenth Celebration at the Elks Lodge. The Stamford NAACP marks the holiday with its annual celebration. Check the listing for time. All ages.
CT Grateful Dead All-Stars at the Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic Street (downtown). A night of Dead catalog from Connecticut's own players. If you have opinions about which era of the band was the real one, this is your Friday. Adults.
Sound View Sunset Sound Bath at Cove Island Park, 1281 Cove Road (Cove). An oceanfront sound bath as the sun drops over Long Island Sound. All ages, bring a mat.

The Avon Theatre handed out $8,500 in scholarships to 11 area seniors. Stamford High's Joaquin Field took the $2,000 top prize on his way to Syracuse; Westhill seniors Nahim Cagua Llivipuma, Yaniah Chisolm, and Angela Russell earned honorable mentions. Honmoon Princesses (KPOP Demon Hunters) at the Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic Street (downtown). The Palace leans into the year's biggest animated music phenomenon with a singalong event built for kids and the parents who now know every word against their will. All ages, kids welcome.
Open Flow Yoga with Sama Yoga at Harbor Point Triangle Park (South End). All levels, outdoors on the water. Adults and older kids.
Sound View Sunrise Sound Bath at Cove Beach North, Cove Island Park (Cove). For the early risers: crystal singing bowls and the sunrise over the Sound. All ages.
