Hi folks,

The day we've all been waiting for has arrived. At the following link, you'll find the winners of the Data Sonification Awards this year:

https://www.sonificationawards.org/winners-2526

To arrive at this list, we looked at every sonification submitted and asked three different judges unconnected to the project to assess if it met the criteria for the category it was submitted in. If at least two of the judges agreed that it did, then the work was awarded.

Huge congratulations to those of you who won - as well as the right to boast about your win on your websites and social media, you also get a free copy of Manifest Audio's Dataforge plugin for Ableton. You should have a separate email about that in your inbox.

If you didn't win then don't be too disheartened - go check out the criteria for the category you work in and use it as inspiration to create a sonification that could win an award when we open nominations again at the end of this year.

Thanks to everyone who entered the awards this year, and huge huge thanks to those of you who volunteered your time in refining the category criteria and judging the awards. We couldn't have done it without you.

All the best,

Duncan, Sara & Paolo
