The deadline for the Data Sonification Awards is 31 December 2025

If you’ve not yet submitted your work to the Data Sonification Awards, you’ve got until the end of December to do so. Any sonification projects released in the last two years can be submitted in three categories - Arts, Communication, and Analysis.

After that, volunteer judges from the community will evaluate all the valid entries based on the criteria for the category they were submitted in. These criteria have been developed by the community, and are updated annually.

All entries that meet the criteria will be equally recognized as winners. These top-tier sonifications will be announced in Spring 2026, and will also be permanently showcased in the Data Sonification Archive.

The team

The Data Sonification Awards is a collaboration between Sara Lenzi and Paolo Ciuccarelli from the Data Sonification Archive and Duncan Geere from the Loud Numbers data sonification studio. Jordan Wirfs-Brock leads the communication committee, Jamie Perera leads the arts committee, and Myounghoon Jeon leads the analysis committee.
