Release Dates for Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Ginger, and Beyond.

Hey all,
I hope you’ve been enjoying the warm, sunny days we’ve had sprinkled throughout May so far. I certainly have—and so have the plants!
I’m popping into your inbox real quick to give you the schedule for release dates over the next few weeks. I’ve had some of them posted on my website for a bit now, but this should cover the remainder of the major spring plant drops.
Release Dates:
Tomatoes, Peppers, Eggplants - May 20th
Cucumbers, Squash, Basil - May 27th
Ginger, Turmeric, Zinnias, Dahlias - June 3rd
Other varieties not mentioned above, such as specific types of annuals, trees, and vegetables, will be brought out as they’re ready. However, I anticipate a good amount of my annual flowers to make an appearance on May 20th as well. If you’re unsure about something’s availability beyond the release dates listed here, I highly recommend you check out my “What’s Growing” page on my website, which I update almost daily.
This coming week is also the last showing for some of the cooler weather crops at the nursery. I’m very nearly sold out of onions and leeks for the year, so don’t wait on those if you’re hoping to plant some. Several perennials are going fast as well (including the Fireweed, and all remaining varieties of Hollyhocks and Veronicas), so if you’ve been eying something be sure to swing by!
Happy Gardening,
Elizabeth Stephens (She/Her)
