Uganda 🇺🇬 Rwenzori
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week’s coffee is from the Rwenzori region of Uganda. It’s a natural process coffee that roasted like a washed process—that is to say, more predictable in the roaster and more even than most naturals! It was roasted today, which means my plan to roast a full week ahead isn’t going quite to plan. If you can give it a few days rest, great. If not, also great. We’re tasting winey fruit flavors over a deep chocolate base.
We have three extras in stock.
We usually take the month of July off, but this year we’re going to roast and deliver straight through the dog days of summer! The garage roastery is going to be hot and we’ll need to find some extra time for our annual roaster maintenance, but I lost my jobby job teaching art and design this past spring when Trinity Christian College closed up shop, which means I probably shouldn’t take a month off from roasting.
I also started a new venture that will become my new full time gig. My colleague Sheldon and I are applying our art and design skills in the service of painting and restoration work. Please get in touch if you have any projects we might be a good fit for. On the web: studiaoakpark.com and on the gram: instagram.com/studia.oakpark
July deliveries start next week. As ever, if you need to pause, modify, or cancel your subscription, please click the magic link in your renewal reminder email or log into the site with the email address where you received this newsletter. Thank you!
Cheers,
Ryan
