Sideyard Notes: Uganda πΊπ¬ Rwenzori Washed
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week's roast is a washed process coffee from the western Rwenzori region of Uganda. The coffee from this region is grown mostly by small holder/garden plots and the cultivars are largely SL28 and SL14. These cultivars were originally developed in Kenya, but there's no tomato notes here. :) The flavors coming through include dark chocolate, plum, and clove. It's tasting great, especially as it cools.
This week's origin track is Uganda from the self titled album Birigwa. I couldn't help but be reminded of Nick Drake while listening to it just now. Turns out both Birigwa and Pink Moon were released in 1972.
Cheers,
Ryan
