Scrub Jay Flyer — April 2026
The latest on our zine, Wild Blue, plus notes on this year's SJV Bookfest and our forthcoming Fresno writers anthology.

Happy spring from the editors of Scrub Jay Press!
It’s a slow Fresno morning and I’m listening to the great Gil Scott-Heron, “Small Talk at 125th and Lenox” from the early ’70s. The poet says the revolution will not be televised, and we learn over and over again that that’s the truth.
Reminding myself to keep reading, keep gathering, keep building.
—Jefferson Beavers
