Traveling for work and fun ...
Today I'm writing from somewhere over Missouri on my way to South Carolina, where I will be visiting friends and working more remotely than usual for the next week and a half.
New travels will ensue, of course, but I have a few things to talk about from the last couple of weeks.
I spent a few days recently at Internet Identity Workshop where many of the world's leading experts on online/digital identity gather twice per year. My work at Adobe related to the Content Authenticity Initiative is closely related to this field.
I wrote a lot more about my IIW adventures here:
Internet Identity Workshop 37
This week I’m attending the 37th biannual Internet Identity Workshop, in which a few dozen of the world’s leading experts on digital identity and credentials gather and a couple hundred more of us do our best to keep up and learn from them.
The conference is held at Mountain View's excellent Computer History Museum, so I took some time to explore the exhibit halls. I was kind of shocked to see some very familiar computers from my childhood (like the original Apple II shown below) now displayed as museum pieces!
Computer History Museum
This week I’ve been attending Internet Identity Workshop (warning: that link is mostly deeply geeky). This event is held twice a year at the lovely Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, which recounts the formative years of our tech industry.
There was an extra-colorful sunset from over the San Francisco Bay on the way home …

… and a fun hike in the woods near my partner's home in Olympia before I left:
Bob Bammert Grove Trail
This afternoon, I was in Olympia and in search of a short, new hike for a bit of exercise. The trail guides pointed me to the Bob Bammert Grove trail and it was just perfect for the occasion.
That's what's new so far. Look for much more in a week or two once the South Carolina adventures have transpired!
