Happy Birthday to Me! And New Travel Stories from 🇨🇦 and 🇲🇽

Hello all, hope this finds you well.

I'm reflecting on having completed another spin around the sun and how very fortunate I am to have seen as much of the planet I have so far. Still eager to explore more, but I have a couple new travel stories to share with you all!

I mentioned last time that I was exploring "the rest" of Vancouver Island. All six of those travel stories are now live on the site under Vancouver Island. By far, my favorite was ...

Vancouver Island Day 5: To Tofino: A long long day on the road but oh so worth it. I especially enjoyed the moody views at dusk as I approached Ucluelet and Tofino.

Since then, Lisa and I did as so many Pacific Northwesterners do and escaped the grey and rain for a few days. This time we turned our attention to the Baja Peninsula. Both of had been before, but had fun introducing each other to favorite places and exploring some new ones. Here are the first four of a planned seven travel stories from Baja:

Baja Part 1: To Cabo!: Most of us who live in the Pacific Northwest find that there's eventually a time when you gotta get out of town and find some sun and warmth for a few days. Lisa and I hit that point recently and so we booked ourselves a trip to the Baja Peninsula in Mexico.

Baja Part 2: No Hike For You!: The plan was to find a nice trail or a sunny beach and go for a hike. Now ... if you've followed this blog for long, you know that any post that starts with "the plan was" invariably leads somewhere else.

Baja Part 3: Sunset Cruise: Yesterday, we wished for more sun and today ... success! We booked a two-hour sunset cruise and it was ... chef's kiss ... superb!

Baja Part 4: Todos Santos: This morning, we had one last breakfast in Cabo and headed north to the historic/arts community of Todos Santos. Both of us had been here before and we were eager to make this part of our trip.

More to come from Baja ... see you soon (on the wires, at least!)
