Tonight: Take Collective Action with Science in Solidarity

Why science workers are banding together to resist the SAVE Act.

Blue promotional graphic for a “Science in Solidarity” Action Hour. Large text reads “ACTION HOUR — Tuesday, February 24, 2026, 8–9 PM ET.” Registration link shown below. The Science in Solidarity logo appears in the center, with illustrated hands on the left and the U.S. Capitol building on the right. Decorative text across the top reads “Care · Connection · Trust · Collective Action,” and along the bottom reads “Hope · Support · Humanity.”

Across the country, new federal bills — often called the SAVE Act suite — would require documentary proof of citizenship like passports or original birth certificates to register to vote. While framed as “security,” these bills would create real barriers for everyday people, including military families, married people who changed their names, working-class communities, Indigenous voters, and naturalized citizens.

Tonight’s Science in Solidarity Action Hour is a space for science workers and allies to come together, make sense of this moment, and take action side by side.

In one hour we will:
• Ground ourselves in what’s happening politically
• Build relationships through shared-interest storytelling
• Contact our members of Congress together and urge them to oppose the SAVE Act suite of bills

You don’t need policy expertise — just your voice and a willingness to act in solidarity.
