Science in Solidarity is a growing community of researchers, educators, and science-adjacent workers organizing to defend science, democracy, and one another. We believe science works best when it serves the public good—and that building a better science means building collective power together.
Three ways to take action with us
1. Join us as a leader
Want to help build this?
Our Action Hours and mutual aid network are run by volunteer leaders who welcome people, connect offers and requests, facilitate conversations, and help keep our community connected.
You don’t need organizing experience or all the answers. You just need to be willing to learn, contribute, and build something together.

2. Build your organizing skills
Individual actions matter—but lasting change requires people who know how to build relationships, develop leaders, and organize for collective power.
Our Organizer Training Series helps science workers develop practical organizing skills, including 1:1 organizing conversations, mutual aid vs. charity, and public narrative—how we connect our individual experiences to collective action.

3. Join an Action Hour—and bring someone with you
Our Action Hours are spaces to move from concern to collective action. We learn together, take concrete actions, build relationships, and connect our work to broader movements for democracy and justice.
And movements grow through relationships. Most people don't join organizing spaces because they saw a post—they join because someone they trust invited them. So bring a colleague, friend, or fellow science worker with you.

Action Hours happen every other Tuesday, 7-8PM ET.
Science in Solidarity is a place to turn concern into connection, and connection into collective action. Come build with us.
