Let's Make Mayonnaise!

So maybe you followed the original “I Think You’re Sauceome” comic back in the day! If you didn’t, it was an autobio webcomic I did from about 2010 to 2015 that ended up being mostly about food. I left the site up for a while after I stopped making the comics, but eventually took it down because updating Wordpress plugins in perpetuity is a special kind of hell.
But I’ve always kind of wanted to bring it back. I don’t want to go back to maintaining a website for that, but this newsletter seems like a pretty great place to put them. :) Would you like a recipe for homemade mayonnaise?

Seriously though, make some homemade mayo. It tastes SO good, so rich and decadent and better than anything you can get at the store!
Anyway! Welcome back to Sauceome comics, I guess! This newsletter is where my new random comics will live, and this newsletter will be my excuse to draw more of them. :)
Upcoming things!
• I’ll be in San Antonio on March 8 for the Hill Country Literary Festival! Please come out and say hi if you’re nearby, I’ll be leading a workshop on food illustration, and sitting on an illustrators panel, and signing books!
• I’ll be in Des Moines on March 22 for the Des Moines Book Festival! I’ll be sitting on a book illustration panel there and signing books, and I’d love to see you there if you’re in the area!
• I will almost certainly be at C2E2 this year! Details to come!
Things I’m into lately:
• Listening to the audiobook of Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix. I have been a big Hendrix fan since Horrorstör. His books are always good for fun and chills. But this one, and his last one, How to Sell a Haunted House? Both of them got me solidly in the feels. I’m only halfway thru Witchcraft and it’s already made me cry twice.
Things Toki is into lately:
Still trying to get in the way of me drawing anything.

I loved reading your original “I Think You’re Sauceome” webcomic back in the day—a friend who also had a web comic at that time recommended it and I was hooked. So seeing it come back via your newsletter is just an absolute treat. Yay!
<3!! Oh that's so lovely to hear, thank you! I'm excited to have an excuse to make Sauceome comics again. :D
