Last week, I told you that it’s best to answer “what do you do?” with the reply you would give to “what impact do you enable?”
I don’t know about you but “I’m a web developer” doesn’t mean anything to me—I’m not pointing fingers, though: I’m struggling like hell to answer the question myself.
However, it can be difficult to spot a problem when you are too close to it. So let me share a story from a different industry.
My girlfriend visited a hairdresser a few days ago: she cannot stop talking about it. But what the hell does this hairdresser do differently?
They restore your natural curls. It’s as simple as that.
Notice that the positioning doesn’t focus on themselves and who they are (hairdresser). It’s all about the transformation they enable for the client (it’s about you).
