Are you more of a builder or an owner?
I used to be a builder.
A few years ago, I worked for a bank that asked me to add Italian to their web app. It just so happens I'm Italian and I noticed some translations were wrong.
Really wrong.
Excellent, I could deploy my native language to improve my craft! I corrected the copy and sent it back expecting to be praised for my commitment.
They got angry.
They had hired real translators to do that job. Plus, changing the approved copy would have required a bunch of signatures and delays. Gotta love banks and their bureaucracy.
You and I are much more than builders: just transforming specifications into code is a waste of potential—not to count, AI is going to screw us (see Github Copilot in the curated links).
By the way, I'm looking to get in touch with diabetic developers: I'm a T1 myself and would like to make some friends. Would you be willing to connect me or recommend somebody?

Do you put them both on and then tie them both? In what order? Do you put on one shoe, tie it and then do the other one? That might be a bit odd, but it’s acceptable. Anyone who ties either of their shoes before putting them on is a no-go, though. And since my Haskell file is my world, and GHC is my enforcer, let’s make this state of affairs unrepresentable.
