I could be wrong but I always assumed they put one CRT monitor in the bottom of the X-Men cabinet not because of space issues, but because them projecting it at the correct angle would allow a seamless widescreen effect. If they put them side by side there would be a break in the middle of the “screen”. Again, could be wrong but this is what I always assumed.
