Our next event will be next Saturday, August 15th, 2026 at Oakton Library.

Our start time is later than normal at this location to accommodate library programming.

For transit: This library is not served directly by any transit connections, but the closest stops are on the WMATA MetroBus F61 route.

Countdown to International Repair Day: 70 days away

“International Repair Day” is observed every year on the 3rd Saturday in October. This day is an opportunity to recognize what repair can do for us, as individuals, for our community, and for our world.

Repair training, knowledge, and practice means:

• People get engaged with their community

• Stuff stays out of the landfill

• Valuable skills are passed on

• You don’t have to buy new things

• Sentimental items can be loved for longer

… and much more. We are thrilled to be part of our local repair ecosystem, learning, teaching, and fixing together to make a better world.

International Repair Day is also an opportunity to think about the things we can’t repair, and who benefits from that system.

This year, the theme of International Repair Day is how repair brings us together. We’re excited to hold our first official event for International Repair Day this October, and we hope you’ll come out to join in the fun!
