Our first microgrant program has officially launched! 🎉

Last month, our newsletter community got an early look at the program. Now, we are spreading the word and inviting you to help us reach the people ReMix was created to support.

Made possible in large part by our $15,000 RISE HIGH Growth Grant from Neighborhood Allies, this launch marks an exciting step toward turning our mission into direct support for our community.

Microgrant Applications Are Open!

Are you pursuing STEM or healthcare and facing a financial barrier to your next opportunity? We want to hear from you.

The ReMix Microgrant Program supports students and early-career professionals in the Greater Pittsburgh area with expenses that can make it harder to move forward in their education or careers.

Microgrants may help cover:

• Books, laboratory supplies, and educational equipment
• Conference registration and travel
• Professional or licensing exam fees
• MCAT-related expenses and application fees
• Professional attire
• Training and other career-building opportunities

Have a need that is not listed? These examples are only a starting point. Our application gives you space to explain what you need and how it would support your STEM or healthcare journey.

You can also help us reach someone who could benefit. Please share the application with your students, colleagues, mentees, or personal and professional networks.

A forwarded email or a quick introduction could connect someone with support they did not know was available.

Celebrating Women in Medicine

During September’s Women in Medicine Month, we highlighted Alyssa Clayton, Dr. Victoria Jewell-Mahler, and Dr. Christine Leeper on our social media.
