Queer Art Club is back!
Hello folks,
Queer art club is back! In Butler Gallery on 11th April at the usual time of 12-2pm. As always, spaces are limited and participants must register in advance.
This month our artist facilitator will be Woody Bennett, aka Orchid Drag. This month the art club will be an upcycling workshop, with a focus on motifs such as pompoms! A note from Woody:
“I’m delighted to be back to facilitate this fun, hands-on costume workshop.
This workshop will focus on simple but fun motifs, like Pom-Pom’s, bows, and ruffles, and how you can use them to elevate any item of clothing into a fabulous custom piece!
This beginner friendly workshop is the perfect place to explore your costume-making curiosities, be it for a fierce drag look, a theatrical costume, or just fab fashions!
All materials provided, but do feel free to bring something from your wardrobe that you’d like to embellish.”
Save your spot by simply replying with your name to this email! Let us know if you have any accessibility needs or anything we can help with.
Hope to see lots of you soon,
Ruth
P.S We are looking for an artist for the May Club, so if you or anyone you know have experience facilitating, please reach out!
