Also I don't think I told you I was a park ranger and ecologist for NYC Parks once upon a time. I would urge folks to visit this quartet of NYC parks, as well: Inwood HillPark at the northern tip of Manhattan; Van Cortlandt Park in the northwest Bronx; and Alley Pond Park and Forest Park in Queens.
