The Slow Season Begins...
Hello soft people of the earth,
Thank you for your feedback and your encouragement for my idea. I am itching to get this podcast launched and I promise it is coming soon… originally I wanted to drop the first episode on March 20th (the 2026 date for Spring Equinox) but, in true slow season fashion, I need more time.
Since this is my first time podcasting, I will schedule 2 episodes per month. I will also let you know where you can listen to the podcast once it is live!

In other news
I am working on an art installation with a local art nonprofit. This will be the first art installation I’ve ever done! Here’s a sneak-peek sketch I did:

While I love my creative side, I often find it hard to focus on one project. If you’re an artist, I’m sure you understand. If you consider yourself more of a supporter of the arts, I hope you can appreciate this peek behind the curtain of my projects.
New Poetry
I volunteered for several Lunar New Year events in March. It is the year of the Fire Horse in the Chinese Zodiac: a time for bold moves, courage in the face of big changes, high energy shifts, and so much more.
I was challenged to write poems for these events by the visionary artist and organizer, Bai Mros. Here is one of the poems:
Fire In My Body
By Catherine Buercklin I feel it rise in my chest: the burn of a new year. A flame I will yield instead of one that consumes me. They tell me to write my wish on a lantern but I have no pen, so I use my finger as a marker in the sky. I try to anchor the loops of my letters to the stars to create a map of my plans. But my dreams are wild and they stampede, heart over hoof, through red moons and golden solar flares. Rapid as water, Firm as earth, Elusive as wind, A Fire Horse that will break for no one.
I hope you can enjoy some slow moments this week 🩵
With you in this season,
Catherine
