Hi, all! From the depths of sleep deprivation and an indulgent reading of Robin Sloan’s book Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore, I am back to share what’s underway this autumn by way of conferences and job openings:

#1 The registration is now open for AI for Humanity and Society 2026, a WASP-HS conference that Hannah Pelikan and I are chairing in Linköping this November. The theme is Robots and Autonomous Systems in Everyday Life, and we’ve got some fantastic speakers lined up!

#2 In early October, I will be headed to NordiCHI 2026 where I serve as a Newcomers’ Chair together with Antti Salovaara. I am looking forward to meeting both new and old friends in Vaasa!

#3 Here’s the call for a postdoc position with our Autonomous Systems
and Robotics in Society research group, based at MIT, with the possibility of repatriation at Linköping University: WASP-HS Postdoctoral Scholarship on Autonomous Systems and Robotics in Society.

#4 Our department is hiring several new PhD students, among them one within our Stockholm Technology and Interaction Research (STIR) group, advised by Luis Quintero and Donald McMillan: PhD student in Computer and Systems Sciences, with focus on Adaptive Immersive Experiences.
