The stack is the story

The most consequential development this week was not a launch, a landing, or a payload reveal. It was hardware moving into a configuration that actually flies. From β–Ά Episode 79 Β· 2026-08-24 through β–Ά Episode 85 Β· 2026-08-30, the through-line was Starship's next vehicle coming together at Starbase: ship and booster in the same visual frame, ground systems catching up, and the regulatory clock starting to matter again.

The treatment was practical rather than apocalyptic. SpaceX has to keep demonstrating high-reliability deorbit and maneuver, because the political license to operate a mega-constellation is as real as the paper from the FCC.

NASA, Dragon, and the HLS clock
