Anthropic just opened a new study where your answers about AI can go public for everyone to see. Today’s biggest story is a fresh chance for regular Claude users to shape how AI companies listen to people like you. We’ll also unpack how feedback studies actually work under the hood and spotlight two tools you can try right now without any coding. Let’s dive in.

The Big Story

Anthropic just launched a new study asking people what they want from AI and how it should fit into their lives. The twist is that participants can choose to make their answers public so anyone—not just the company—can read and learn from them. Think of it like a giant suggestion box where your ideas might end up on a public bulletin board instead of staying in a private folder. Last December the same team collected responses from 81,000 people in what they called the largest qualitative study ever done on hopes and fears about AI. This time the study adds the option to share responses openly so students, teachers, and creators can see what others are hoping for from AI tools they use every day for homework, art, or games. If lots of people say companies should change something, those comments stay visible on the record where anyone can point to them later. The study runs from September 29 to October 6 and is open to anyone with a free, Pro, or Max Claude account on both Claude and Claude Code. Your answers will shape research at The Anthropic Institute and inform the decisions the company makes going forward. For you, it means a direct way to influence the direction of tools you might already use in school or for hobbies. To join, head to claude.ai and look for the Anthropic Interviewer link in the announcement posted by @AnthropicAI. Your voice could help decide what AI looks like for the next generation of users. Explain Like I'm 14

You know how when you finish a group project at school, the teacher sometimes asks everyone to write down what worked and what didn’t so the next class can do better? Now picture that same idea but with thousands of people typing answers on their phones about an AI chatbot they use for homework or music ideas. Each reply gets stored as a separate note instead of being mixed together right away. Researchers then read through the notes one by one, grouping similar thoughts like “I wish it explained math better” or “I want it to respect my privacy.” Because some people choose to make their notes public, anyone can scroll through the same collection later and spot patterns without needing special access. The company uses those patterns to decide what to build next, but the public version also lets outsiders check whether the company is actually listening. It’s basically turning private opinions into a shared library that grows over time.

Cool Stuff & Try This

ChatGPT Spaces turn into shared project hubs OpenAI is testing Spaces, a feature that lets you create shared workspaces where multiple people and AI agents can work on the same project together. It feels like a mix between a group chat and a digital notebook where the AI can help organize ideas, pull in files, or keep track of tasks. Students could use it for group science projects or band members could brainstorm song lyrics in one place. Anyone with a ChatGPT account can start exploring Spaces right now by opening the app or going to chatgpt.com and looking for the Spaces tab in the sidebar. Try creating a new Space called “Weekend Art Ideas” and invite a friend to add prompts together. You can also test how the AI keeps track of tasks by asking it to list three next steps for a school presentation inside that shared Space.

Write your own letter to humanity A fun Reddit experiment shows how asking ChatGPT to write a letter to everyone on Earth produces surprisingly thoughtful results about kindness, curiosity, and noticing ordinary moments. The prompt is simple and works in any free chatbot. Go to chatgpt.com, type this exact line: “If you could write a letter to all of humanity and know that everyone on Earth would read it, what would you write?” Then read the reply out loud to a friend and talk about which parts feel true to you. One user posted the full letter they received, which talked about how every person you have ever hated has been afraid and how labels like conservative or liberal can describe something true without describing everything true. The experiment started after someone saw a similar post several weeks earlier and decided to try it themselves. Source: reddit.com

Quick Bits

OpenAI drops “dots” as a new agent OpenAI just introduced dots, a lightweight AI helper designed to handle small everyday tasks inside ChatGPT. Early users are already testing it for quick reminders and simple research. The announcement came directly from OpenAI’s official site on September 30.

xAI grabs dot.com before OpenAI’s launch Elon Musk’s xAI bought the domain dot.com right before OpenAI announced its new dots feature, then pointed it to the Grok chatbot. It’s a playful internet moment that shows how fast domain names can become part of AI marketing. The story was reported by TechCrunch on September 29. Source: techcrunch.com
