and another round up of 'what i (pag) did this week'
sam and i saw Zone of Interest on tuesday and i loved it. an absolutely chilling portrayal of Nazism and how fascism is ideologically structured at home and how fascist women are specifically complicit in racist violence, I'd strongly recommend a watch. frightingly relevant today as viewers easily draw parallels between the genocide carried out through settlement in Palestine as well as the general right-wing turn towards "trad families" in America's culture (see that mormon woman who makes cinnamon rolls for her husband, or general incel-down/trad social media).
on friday the incredible nyc band and our friends rat palace released their debut single look my way and celebrated with a show at purgatory. since this song has been stuck in my head since we first played with rat palace last march, its safe to say i am thrilled to finally stream it and would recommend everyone does the same
saturday sam's band uncle skunk played their last show for a few months at the broadway. sam broke 0 strings during their rockin' set, i'm very proud of him but i guess that's why he uses 11-gauge strings....
to no one's surprise, i'm obsessed with the new mannequin pussy song nothing like and have been streaming it non-stop. i'm going to be unsufferably obsessed when their new record comes out this spring
until next week, we got more mixing and more friend's shows this week. and of course happy valentine's day to those celebrating....
