tour diary: take off!
okay here’s my not novel seemingly novel idea: a tour diary. maybe it’s because THEY put me on vocal rest and maybe it’s because i’m giving up scrolling ‘for’ ‘lent’ but i resolved that this will be one of the ways i spend my many hours in the van, while also perhaps, entertaining a few of you. in that spirit: please feel free to send article recommendation, album recommendations, audiobook recommendations etc… we will surely appreciate them.
in that spirit it is DAY 1: take off! We’re on the way from brooklyn to philly, in our ~nicer (read: no drum kit or back seats) van dubbed “vanawhite” by its owner (how’s that vanity plate CG?). we’re super excited to play philadelphia tonight, which is as much of a hometown show as we can get without actually being from a city.
we packed up the van in record time, realized jenna left her receiver at her apartment, ran to get it and now are gracing our way down the new jersey turnpike to make it to our show tonight at PhilaMOCA with Wallace, Tonight! and Rat Palace!!
and then we’ll stay up until midnight likely eating my mother’s homemade spanakopita and stream our new song clean, which drops tonight. this song is like if radiohead and jeff buckley and mitski had a baby and that’s all i have to say on that… give it a stream or two or ten or ten thousand okay??
