Starting Fresh for 2026! Our Return
Thanks so much for all your patience with us coming back fully as an artist and small business owner since our disappearance in the realm of newsletter-writing back in 2025 July when I moved to Denton, TX! It was an overwhelming process to get moved and job hunt as soon as I landed in town. But! I have good news.
We Landed A Brand New Job and It’s Great!

Since August 2025, we now work part-time as a Retail Specialist at Thistle Creative Reuse. It is Denton’s only creative reuse store and one of many that are equally rare in their areas! Creative reuse shops are like thrift shops, except for only arts and craft supplies that people donate to us when they are no longer using them. With this business model, we are able to divert and save over 250,000+lbs (and always increasing) of items from hitting the landfill, recycling it back into the arts community of Denton at a much lower secondhand cost. This makes creative supplies incredibly accessible for all budgets, especially for broke college students and parents strapped for cash consistently. EVERYONE can get creative at Thistle!
See if you have a creative reuse shop in your city if you are not from Denton, TX and reading this newsletter. Suggested sibling stores like Thistle are Pegasus in Dallas, TX, and Austin Creative Reuse in Austin, TX that we know of offhand. There is also Scrap in California. Explore your area and see if you have a gem like this! If you’re a Denton local, come visit at 618 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201 (next to Murder Rat Kroger LOL) between 10AM - 7PM daily except Sundays which are 11AM - 5PM. We’d love to see you there!

We Are Now Officially An Art & Zine Distro!

Big news everyone! We are officially an Art & Zine Distro now. We are so happy with this new sense of direction that had come to me through my experiences with teaching at the Denton Maker Center combined with my locality’s need for good information to be spread. I have already been distributing my own written zines, but I also started a mutual aid table at events I pop-up at where I have been giving away zines made by OTHER people. A lot of these zines pertain to fighting fascism, protecting immigrants, reporting ICE, and how to administer Narcan and what we can DO right now as fascists enact violence all across America in the form of horrifying tactics deployed by the monsters that are ICE agents. There is no hell hot enough to burn those monsters. So, in my efforts already as an Art & Zine Distro we have distributed over 10+ “No ICE No Nazis No Fascists in our community #DentonStrong” posters to small businesses of Denton, TX, done mutual aid table pop-ups and distributed Narcan, Covid Tests, Plan B, voting information, and free zines. We are proud to serve the Denton, TX community and the world around us especially those braving the fight against ICE ghouls in Minneapolis, you can see our comrades below.
Art Historians and The Current Moment

This was a moment from 1/18/2026 after the murder of Renee Good, ICE impact was intensifying and people like these brave souls stood out in 6 degree Fahrenheit weather to alert their immigrant neighbors if ICE was nearby or patrolling. I spoke to them, and they were incredibly kind individuals I will keep anonymous for their safety. But these are real people, real stories, happening on the front lines. I made these sketches as a meditative process, to connect to the real human lives out there sacrificing everything for all of our freedom as a common peoples and working class of this country, the USA. In my country, there is a massive terrorist organization trying to cull the common folk and kidnap our Black and brown community members to send them to torture facilities. This must end. One part of fighting back against this, is witnessing it first in total truth and honesty. Even if it is not happening in your city right now, Minneapolis is the moment and is the ground zero for what the Trump administration imagines for all cities in this country. We cannot let it happen where we live. If my art urges you to do anything, let it be finding your local Anti-ICE organization and getting involved.
Connect with El Movimiento DFW, save their Hotline Number 469-306-2078 for your safety and use to report ICE sightings in DFW and get help, mutual aid, legal aid if you know someone who was kidnapped and taken by ICE.
Report ICE sightings and activity digitally through the universally usable ICE Out (dot) org
Support Minnesotans dealing with ICE occupation of their state and cities through Stand With Minnesota (dot) com
Start a Signal App Chat group for you and your nearest neighbors, stay alert, help each other. Build community NOW in advance. We need you. Your community needs you!
