Findymail in 5 minutes

Issue #39 - The email finder that only charges you when it actually finds something

What it is

You have a list of prospects. You need their work emails. You run them through your usual tool and get back 800 addresses — but 120 of them bounce, your domain reputation takes a hit, and your warm inboxes start landing in spam. Findymail exists to stop that cycle. It's a B2B contact data provider built for outbound teams that prioritize deliverability above all else, using a proprietary algorithm that delivers consistently high deliverability rates above 95% by only returning emails verified with high confidence. The key word is only. Findymail only deducts credits on successful, verified finds. Failed lookups are free. That one policy changes the whole unit economics of list building.

Where it sits in the stack

Findymail sits in the data and enrichment layer — specifically as a contact finder and verifier. It doesn't send email, doesn't score intent on its own, and doesn't replace your CRM. It integrates natively with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close, Copper, Zoho, Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, and Woodpecker, and connects through Zapier and Make for automation beyond those. In most stacks it replaces paying separately for a finder (like Hunter) and a verifier (like NeverBounce), since it combines finding and verification in a single API call.

Three workflows people actually run

1. Clay waterfall enrichment with Findymail as the accuracy layer — Pull a list of target accounts from LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Bring them into Clay. Use a cheaper or broader data provider (Apollo, Prospeo) for the first pass, then route the empty or uncertain cells to Findymail as the cleanup step. Independent testing by Clay ranked Findymail #1 for email accuracy at 97%+, compared to Hunter at ~87% and Apollo at ~84%.

When using Clay's managed account, this costs 2 Clay credits per enriched cell. Pro move: if you're on a paid Clay plan, you can plug in your own Findymail API key and use Findymail's services without consuming Clay credits — you burn Findymail credits instead, which is cheaper at scale.

2. Chrome extension scraping from LinkedIn Sales Navigator - You can run Findymail four ways: single lookup, bulk finder accepting CSV/TXT/XLS uploads, a Chrome extension for one-click lookups from LinkedIn and Sales Navigator, and a Google Sheets integration via Apps Script. The typical SDR workflow: open a Sales Nav search, run the extension to scrape the visible leads, export directly to Instantly or Smartlead with one click. No CSV download, no manual upload, no deduplication headache. Each integration pushes verified leads directly from Findymail into connected platforms without manual exporting. Good for reps who want to stay in one browser tab.

3. Automated CRM enrichment with Datacare - Your CRM has contacts from 2022 with stale or missing emails. Findymail is the email finder and verifier; DataCare (a separate product) is an automated CRM enrichment service that keeps your CRM clean and up-to-date on autopilot.

Datacare starts with a read-only health check that shows proposed changes before touching anything, and defaults to "No Override" mode, filling only empty fields unless you configure otherwise. Wire it to HubSpot or Salesforce, let it run against your existing contact database, and you get a before/after report before anything gets overwritten. Priced separately from the main plans — get a quote from their team.

What it costs

Three public tiers: Basic at $49/month (1,000 credits), Starter at $99/month (5,000 credits), Business at $249/month (15,000 credits), and Enterprise at custom pricing.

The credit model, explained: 1 email costs 1 credit; 1 phone number costs 10 credits. So on the Starter plan: 5,000 credits gets you 5,000 emails or 500 phone numbers, or some mix. If your workflow is phone-heavy, the 10-credit ratio can burn through your budget fast — the Starter plan at $99/month gives you a maximum of 500 phones.

Rollover: You pay only for verified results; failed lookups and duplicates don't cost anything. Unused credits roll over month to month, capped at 2x your monthly allowance. Hit the cap and new credits stop accumulating — plan around seasonal prospecting spikes accordingly.

Annual discount: Annual billing saves roughly 17%.

Findymail only displays monthly pricing on its website; annual discounts require direct negotiation with the sales team.

Other gotchas: All paid plans are capped at 10 users maximum; larger teams must negotiate an Enterprise plan.

Datacare is a separate add-on with custom pricing, but there's no pay-as-you-go plan — though you can buy one-time top-up credits.

Phone numbers are available for non-EU contacts only, due to privacy laws.

Free trial: 10 finder + 10 verification credits, no card required. Enough to sanity-check the data quality, not enough to evaluate at volume.

Who it's for (and who should skip it)

The verified-only charging model, bundled verifier credits, sub-5% bounce guarantee, and tight sequencer integrations make it one of the safer choices for sustained cold outbound. Agencies and SDR teams running steady volume will get their money's worth. It's also a strong pick if you're prospecting heavily into Europe — Findymail has noticeably better coverage of European business emails than US-centric competitors, with G2 and Capterra reviewers from EMEA consistently praising the find rate on French, German, Italian, and Spanish targets.

Skip it if: you're a solo founder doing occasional prospecting — the $49/month Basic plan is fine on paper, but 25–35% of lookups return no result where other tools would return unverified guesses , so your effective list size will be smaller than you expect. If you need intent signals, technographics, or built-in sequencing in the same subscription, Apollo gives you database, finder, and outreach in one plan and nothing at its price point competes for breadth — many teams run both: Apollo for discovery, Findymail for verification.
