Good morning! Today I’m releasing “dancing parakeets”, my last single from IOWA before the album releases this Friday. I used to have two parakeets and they have both since passed on. Since recording this song both of my beloved birds have passed on, and this is a favorite off the record. I think of them, wind chimes on our Iowa porch, and bird murmurations when I listen back to this.

I filmed a series of one-take videos in Iowa this December as a sort of installation of me moving through the landscape as a ghostly figure, here is me in a large park in Iowa City freezing my ass off while people walk by with their dogs.
