Mic Drop + Stream Deck, launching today!
Hello there! Sarah and Matt here. It’s sunny and springy, flowers are poking their heads out, and we have shiny new things to announce!
Try our official Stream Deck plugin for Mic Drop
If you’ve ever wanted a great big hardware button to mute your mic, this might be up your alley. Over the holidays, Sarah wrote an official Stream Deck plugin for Mic Drop, meaning you can now control your mic and sync its mute state directly from a Stream Deck device. 🎉

Highlights include:
🎙️ a toggle key that toggles mute & displays your current mic state
🙊 a key that always mutes your mic
💬 a key that always unmutes your mic
💅🏾 a collection of icons to choose from for every key
⚡️ super-responsiveness: mute Mic Drop on your Mac and the Stream Deck icon changes immediately
❤️ the same personal support and attention to detail you expect from Mic Drop
Read about it on our blog and check out all the shiny details.
We’d love to know what you think! Drop us a line (you can just respond to this email) or feel free to comment on Product Hunt if you’re so inclined.
Turnip updates: coming soon!
If you’ve been keeping an eye on our roadmap, you might notice we’ve got a ton of new stuff coming in Turnip:
“duplicate time slip” functionality
multi-line comment support
FreshBooks retainer integration
We’ve been testing out these features internally—turns out we both use the duplicate feature all the time. The new version will be out soon!
Want to help us test early features?
We really value your feedback and input, and we use it to shape the direction of our products. Every single feature listed above is a result of conversations we’ve had with users via our support emails.
If you’d be interested in testing new versions of the apps before they’re available on the App Store, drop us a line with your Apple email address, and we’ll add you to our TestFlight beta group. (Make sure to let us know if you’re a Mic Drop or Turnip user too!)
Joining the TestFlight beta group means you’ll be able to test new features and improvements in the apps before they’re available on the App Store. You’ll always be able to run the App Store version of the app you're testing, so you can pick and choose whether you want to test features or not.
As always, we super appreciate your feedback, so do feel free to drop us a line if you have anything to share!
