Hello friends! We hope you’re having a lovely spring (or autumn), wherever you are. Here in Portugal, things have been a little wild (Have you heard of a sting jet? 🌪️ We have!) but we've been working away on a long-requested new feature for Mic Drop.

Have you ever wanted to mute your mic by pressing your AirPods? Now you can!

We’ve been beta-testing the feature to iron out as many kinks as possible and plan to have it ready for release in early June. If you’d like to test it out for us in advance, you can join our Test Flight group.

Press to Mute works with these AirPod models:

• AirPods Pro 2+

• AirPods 4

• AirPods Max

• PowerBeats Fit

*Note: Due to how macOS works, apps that support Press to Mute themselves (FaceTime, Microsoft Teams, and WhatsApp) won’t work with Mic Drop’s Press to Mute feature. If you use one of these apps, please let us know! We may be able to implement a custom solution in the future.
