Dear Parishioners,
Please note the following events and updates for this week in our parish community.
Thursday, August 6
• Father has called a 1:00 p.m. meeting for the Catholic Ladies. All Ladies of the parish are encouraged to attend
Friday, August 7 – First Friday
• Adoration begins at 9:00 a.m.
• Rosary at 9:30 a.m.
• First Friday Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Sunday August 9th is
• Food Bank Sunday everyone is encourage to bring a tin for the bin.
• Coffee Sunday after mass
Ten Commandments Display – Updated Timeline
Work on the Ten Commandments display will begin with digging on August 7, followed by construction on August 8. Your attendance during the day is encouraged on the 8th to offer support and prayer as the project unfolds.
After installation, the wooden support frames must remain in place for about a week to allow the cement to cure properly. Because the inscriptions will still be covered during this time, the blessing originally planned for August 9 has been postponed but we will still meet for coffee after Mass.
The frames will be removed on August 15, and once the final checks are completed, Father will bless the Ten Commandments display on Sunday, August 23.We will then gather in thanksgiving at Coffee Sunday to celebrate this meaningful addition to our parish grounds.
