This weekend in Norwalk: an after-hours tour of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion, Nashville Nights at Factory Underground, and The Dip at District

Morning, Norwalk. The Juneteenth and Father's Day rush is behind us, and this weekend settles into something quieter and, frankly, better: a wine reception inside a Gilded Age mansion, a couple of strong nights at the local music halls, and the first real stretch of summer to spend on the water.

Best for families this weekend: The Aquabats land at District Music Hall on Thursday night, an all-ages show from a band that has been dressing up as superheroes and playing fast, silly ska longer than most of the kids in the room have been alive.

Thursday, June 25

The Aquabats! at District Music Hall, Wall Street. Costumed ska-punk that takes its nonsense seriously, which is exactly why it works for a room of kids and the parents who grew up on it. All ages with a guardian, confirm door times at the box office.

Cocktails and Dream Boats Open House at 48 Calf Pasture Beach Road (East Norwalk). Drinks on the water and a close look at the kind of boats most of us only point at from the beach. 21+, and about as East Norwalk as a Friday gets. Details on Eventbrite.

Nashville Nights at Factory Underground Studio, 28 Ann Street (SoNo). A night of country and Americana from the SoNo studio that keeps proving this city has more players in it than it lets on. Adults, tickets here.

The Remix Presents: 106 and Party, Norwalk Edition at Bambu Night Club. A throwback hip-hop and R&B night for the crowd that still knows every word. 21+, Eventbrite.

In Case You Missed It

Beacon Street sewer work just got a million dollars more expensive. Crews hit unexpected ground conditions on the replacement project, adding roughly $1M to the bill. The kind of line item that never makes a campaign flyer but shows up on everyone's taxes. Source: NancyOnNorwalk.

A teenager jumped from a window to escape a house fire that displaced multiple families. Everyone got out, but several households are now without a home while the cause is investigated. Source: Patch Norwalk.

Josh Elliott brought his primary challenge to town. The Democratic candidate for governor made his case against Governor Lamont at a Norwalk rally, an early sign that the 2026 primary is going to be a real fight rather than a coronation. Source: NancyOnNorwalk.

Saturday, June 27

After-Hours Tour and Wine Reception at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion, 295 West Avenue. The 1860s mansion stays open after dark for a guided tour and a glass of wine in rooms that were built to impress and still do. This is the rare Norwalk evening that earns the word elegant without straining for it. Adults, registration on Eventbrite.

Caribbean Pride Events at Tropical Island Spice Restaurant. Food, music, and a celebration of Caribbean culture from one of the city's best small kitchens. All ages, family-friendly, details here.

Women's Health and Wellness Workshop at The Haven Rooftop (SoNo). A morning session on the rooftop focused on practical wellness, with the harbor as the backdrop. Adults, Eventbrite.

Sunday, June 28

The Dip at District Music Hall, Wall Street. The Seattle soul outfit brings a full horn section and the kind of slow-burn groove that turns a Sunday night into the best decision you made all weekend. Adults, tickets.

On the Horizon

The Church plays District Music Hall on Tuesday, June 30, running through the singles from 1980 to 2025. If "Under the Milky Way" still lives somewhere in your memory, you already know whether you are going. Tickets.

Fourth of July is around the corner. Patch has put together a 2026 fireworks guide for Norwalk with the where and when. We will carry the local picks as the city firms up its plans.
