Hi, I'm Britt. I live in Olympia, WA and am married and a mom to a 12 year old boy. Right now I'm living in the in-between of leaving a 20-year career in non-profit arts education and transitioning to being a surgical tech. I'm starting my pre-reqs for the surgical tech program in April and will hopefully be in a surgical tech program at a nearby community college this time next year. I'm so excited and kinda amazed that I am making this change because change is really hard for me, and I know this is going to be full of ups and downs, but it feels really right. And that is giving me energy while so much else feels bleak. Nic's newsletter is quickly becoming my absolute favorite and something of a touchstone for me in my week.
